William Branham (1909-1965) was an American Pentecostal evangelist and faith healer. Born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Branham had a controversial ministry that often included supernatural signs and wonders. He claimed to receive revelations and messages directly from God, which he used to support his teachings and healings.
Branham became widely known in the 1940s and 1950s for his powerful healing ministry, which was often accompanied by miracles such as the blind receiving sight and the deaf hearing. He was one of the most prominent figures in the early Pentecostal movement and is considered by some to be the father of the healing revival.
However, Branham's teachings and claims were also met with skepticism and criticism by many in the Christian community. Despite this, he continued to preach and perform healings until his death in 1965. Today, Branham's legacy continues to influence Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians, but his teachings and claims remain controversial and divisive.
